Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

• This application form must be completed as the primary applicant. Be sure to attach proof of changes in address or any other details.
• If applicants do not have proof of a change of address, he may certify the form to the people listed below.
  • Gazetted Officer - Group A

UIDAI allows holders of Aadhaar cardsto change their address without needing documentation. Aadhaar cardholders have the right to change their address if they have not provided an identity proof.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial facility that lets you change your Aadhaar card's address without a document of your address.

UIDAI permits those who have Aadhaar cards to change their address, without documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their address if they consent to the authentication for the verification of address. A verifier of address could be a family member, friend, landlord or family member who will allow the Aadhaar card holder to utilize their address for proof.

UIDAI has now stopped this facility. UIDAI replied to an Aadhaar Card owner via Twitter, stating that the ability to update address on Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form is no longer available. UIDAI has asked to the Aadhaar Issuers to inform the user that they can change their address using a genuine PoA document.

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not more than 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older that 3 months)

Bank Statements for Credit Cards (not more than 3 months old).

Letter signed by the recipient with a photo of official company registered on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Parents' passports (in for minors)

Central/ State Govt. Issued an allocation letter to accommodate. (Not longer than three years)
